> NYC's first in-hotel tattoo studio, located inside the Untitled Hotel at 3 Freeman Alley on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Six resident artists working in custom fine line, color, black and grey, realism, blackwork, neo-tribal, traditional, and anime styles, plus ephemeral made-to-fade ink, professional piercings, and Swarovski tooth gems.

## About

Unscripted Ink is a boutique tattoo studio at the end of Freeman Alley — a storied cul-de-sac in the Lower East Side — and the only tattoo studio in New York City operating inside a hotel (the Untitled Hotel). Founded and owned by Liv Novotny, a professional muralist featured in Allure Magazine for her color work, the studio was built to feel more like a private atelier than a walk-in shop. Custom work, flash, and ephemeral ink are all offered by appointment, with walk-ins welcome for flash on a first-come, first-served basis.

- **Custom Tattoo Art** — Bespoke designs drawn for your anatomy, created in consultation with one of the six resident artists. Consultation required.
- **Flash Tattoos** — Pre-drawn motifs from resident artists, from $150. Walk-ins welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.
- **Fine Line Tattoos** — Delicate, precise linework at small and medium scale. Lead artists: Ivy, Saint.
- **Color Tattoos** — Saturated, layered color work — florals, illustrative pieces, painterly portraits. Lead artist: Liv.
- **Black and Grey Tattoos** — Tonal work built through gradient shading. Lead artists: Saint, Jeorge, Trey, Lauren.
- **Realism Tattoos** — Photorealistic portraits, animals, and objects. Lead artists: Saint, Jeorge.
- **Ephemeral Ink** — Real tattoos made to fade naturally over 9–15 months using bio-absorbable polymer ink. Liv is certified to apply Ephemeral Ink (a small and globally limited group of artists).
- **Blackwork** — Bold, graphic, high-contrast compositions in solid black. Lead artist: Trey.
- **Neo-Tribal Tattoos** — Contemporary abstract/sculptural tribal design. Lead artist: Trey.
- **Traditional Tattoos** — American traditional with bold outlines and iconic motifs. Lead artist: Trey.
- **Anime Tattoos** — Character work and scenes from anime, manga, and video games. Lead artist: Jeorge.
- **Piercings** — Professional body and ear piercing with implant-grade jewelry. 15–30 minutes per piercing. By appointment.
- **Tooth Gems** — Swarovski crystals and 18k gold, applied with dental-grade adhesive.

## Booking

All appointments are booked through the scheduling system at https://unscripted.nyc/book. Choose service (tattoo or piercing), pick an artist, select a time, fill the questionnaire, and confirm with a $50 non-refundable deposit. Reschedule more than 48 hours in advance to preserve the deposit. Cancellations inside 48 hours forfeit the deposit.
